The historic Newtown Theatre will welcome Mary Fahl, former lead singer of October Project, to its stage on Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m.
Praised by the Boston Globe as “a voice from the gods,” Fahl is an expressive, emotionally powerful singer/songwriter who first achieved fame as lead singer and co-founder of the mid-1990s NYC-based chamber-pop group October Project, a band known for their lush harmonies, sweeping melodies and Fahl’s unique and powerful vocals.
Fahl’s solo career has spanned film, classical and contemporary recordings, earning major honors including Indie Acoustic and Independent Music Awards, along with recognition for her acclaimed Dark Side of the Moon reinterpretation. She now returns with “Can’t Get It Out of My Head,” a reflective collection reimagining songs by Pink Floyd, George Harrison, ELO, Neil Young, and others that shaped her as an artist.
