The historic Newtown Theatre and the Newtown Bookshop host a monthly “Page to Screen” series of movies at the theatre.
Each film is based on a bestselling or beloved book. At the end of each movie, one lucky winner will go home with the book on which that night’s movie is based.
The July Page to Screen film is Room. Held captive for years in an enclosed space, a woman and her young son finally gain their freedom, allowing the boy to experience the outside world for the first time.
