A Taste of James Bond & Moonraker Screening

The Newtown Theatre is once again teaming up with David Zaritsky – creator of the world’s #1 James Bond online fan channel (The Bond Experience) and owner of one of the world’s largest 007 memorabilia collections – to present a special Bond-themed event on Sunday, August 16.

From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. that day, Zaritsky will host a Bond-themed happy hour at the theatre. During this event, he will mingle with guests and display a small handful of props, gadgets and clothing from Bond films. This event includes a heavy charcuterie spread, free popcorn, and a cash bar (wine/bottled beer/canned cocktails).

The day will conclude with a screening of 1979’s “Moonraker” at 6:15 p.m. The 11th film in the franchise and one described as the “quintessential summer Bond film,” “Moonraker” follows secret agent 007 (Roger Moore) as he investigates the hijacking of a space shuttle, leading him from Venice to outer space in a battle against a megalomaniac industrialist plotting to wipe out humanity and repopulate Earth.
